STANFORD, Calif. - The 200 freestyle relay group of Annam Olasewere, Torri Huske, Gigi Johnson, and Lucy Thomas turned in a new program record on Wednesday evening, highlighting night two at the Texas Swimming Invitational.
The quartet posted a 1:25.30 to win by over two seconds, besting the old Stanford record set by Janet Hu, Simone Manuel, Lauren Pitzer, and Ally Howe at the 2018 NCAA Championships. The latter's 1:25.43 set both NCAA and American records at the time.
Lucy Bell highlighted the individual performers for the Cardinal, turning in a new career-best in the 100 breast for the third time this season, this time touching the wall at 58.10 for the event title. The new mark moves her within eight-tenths of the school record in the event. Thomas finished third with a 58.72, while Addie Robillard earned a sixth-place finish with a 59.99.
Bell also finished second in the 400 IM with a 4:01 swim as one of three podium finishers for the Cardinal in the event. Teammate Caroline Bricker won the race with a 3:59.70 effort, while Emily Thompson came in third with a 4:04.39 to round out the 1-2-3 finish for Stanford.

Johnson finished 3rd in the event, posting a new lifetime-best of 50.96 to move her into seventh in the Stanford Top-10, while Ella Jablonski finished eighth in the "A" final.
