AUSTIN, Texas - No. 4 Stanford women's swimming won three more event titles on Friday evening, wrapping up an impressive showing at the Texas Swimming Invitational in which the Cardinal won 12 of the 18 races.
Stanford went perfect in relays throughout the week, capping off their unbeaten relay streak with another new school record in the 400 free relay. The group of Annam Olasewere, Torri Huske, Gigi Johnson, and Lucy Thomas set their second new program mark of the week, posting a 3:07.59 in the race-winning relay.
The quartet becomes the first relay group to hold two relay school records concurrently since 2018, when Ally Howe, Kim Williams, Janet Hu, and Simone Manuel set program records in both the 200 and 400 medley relays.
Huske added another victory in the 100 freestyle with a 46.15 time, as the senior would win each of the eight events she competed in across individual events and relays. Johnson set a new Stanford Top 10 time of 47.57 en route to a fourth-place finish, while Olasewere clocked a 47.71 to finish fifth.
Lucy Bell led off the finals session with her third individual title of the meet, touching the wall first with a 1:52.65 swim in the 200 IM. Emily Thompson also reached the "A" final, finishing sixth with a 1:56.40.
Stanford had three "A" finalists in the 200 fly, as Caroline Bricker finished second in the event after a 1:53.05 effort. Addison Sauickie clocked a 1:55.49 to finish fifth, followed by a sixth-place 1:56.13 mark from Charlotte Hook. Natalie Mannion was Stanford's highest finisher in the 200 back, finishing third with a 1:52.01.
The Cardinal will now enjoy the winter break before returning to action on January 16-17 for a doubleheader weekend in Los Angeles against UCLA and USC.
