Card Closing Home Schedule Against Pacific

No. 3 Cardinal plays at Santa Clara on Wednesday, hosts Pacific on Sunday

STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 3 Cardinal concludes the 2025 home schedule this weekend, hosting the No. 8 Pacific Tigers on Sunday after a Wednesday bout with No. 17 Santa Clara.

Stanford enters at 12-6 overall after a weekend in Los Angeles, suffering near defeats at No. 1 USC and No. 2 UCLA.

Sunday will be senior day for the Cardinal, with the program celebrating Gianpiero Di Martire, CJ Indart, Guido Leonardi, Chase McFarland, Tanner Pulice and West Temkin postgame. The game starts at 1:00 p.m. PT, and will be streamed on Overnght. 


MPSF HONORS » The Cardinal has picked up four MPSF Player of the Week honors this season, with Will Schneider, Ben Forer and Botond Balogh (twice) each earning the selection.

VET IN THE CAGE » Temkin returns in the cage after a Second Team All-America and First Team All-MPSF season in 2024. The senior stopped 12 or more shots four times this season, including a season-high 16 shots in the overtime loss to USC in September. Through 18 games, Temkin has made 159 saves and allowed just 179 goals.

NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP » The sophomore class has been key to the Cardinal's success in 2025, accounting for three of the top four point contributors on the team. Botond Balogh leads the team in points (87) and goals (54) while sitting just behind Ben Forer for the assists lead (33). Balogh and Forer each rank among the top five in the MPSF for points, goals and assists.

WELL-ROUNDED CONTRIBUTIONS » Beyond Balogh and Forer's scoring contributions, the sophomore class has been key in other areas. Will Schneider is second in the MPSF in earned exclusions (52) and Ryan Ohl leads in sprint wins with 46.

STRONG INTRODUCTION » Transfer Gianpiero Di Martire has made a strong introduction, third on the team in points with 70 and second on the team with 48 goals.
