CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Hailee Swain had 15 points and seven rebounds, Courtney Ogden flirted with a triple-double and Stanford rolled past Boston College on Thursday night, 77-52.
The Cardinal (15-4, 4-2 ACC) built a lead as large as 42 and held Boston College to 24 points over the first three quarters. Swain led Stanford with a career-high 15 points and a career-high tying seven rebounds. She also had two steals and was a team-best +38 in her 29 minutes on the floor.
Ogden was just as good in her 29 minutes, putting up 13 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Nunu Agara chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds and Lara Somfai scored 10.
The Cardinal had a 13-0 run over the first and second quarters, highlighted by a 3-point play from Swain when she put back a 3-point miss and was fouled. Swain, Agara and Ogden each had three offensive rebounds.
Stanford made five straight field goals late in the second quarter, punctuated by an Ogden triple with 1:34 on the clock to make the score 41-15.
Swain had another offensive rebound to end the third, putting back her own miss with one hand off glass as the buzzer sounded to give the Cardinal its largest lead, 66-24.
All of Stanford’s 14 available players saw action and no one played more than 30 minutes.
