STANFORD, Calif. — With just under three weeks remaining until the start of the spring slate, a record five Cardinal have earned USA Lacrosse DI Women’s Preseason All-America honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
Aliya Polisky (Second Team) along with teammates Lucy Pearson (Honorable Mention), Ava Arceri (Honorable Mention), Olivia Rose (Honorable Mention) and Jordyn Case (Honorable Mention) were named to the list that includes 75 players from 30 different institutions. Stanford, the USA Lacrosse preseason No. 6 team, ranked tied for third with five All-American selections.
Polisky, who became the second Cardinal athlete to earn three separate postseason All-American honors a season ago, joins the list for the second time after being named to the preseason third team in 2025. Lucy Pearson also makes her way back onto the preseason All-American team after being named an honorable mention a season ago. Jordyn Case and Olivia Rose earn the All-America nod for the first time in their collegiate careers while Ava Arceri earns her first preseason nod as an All-American having been named a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention following the 2025 season.
Stanford’s five All-America honorees is third in the Atlantic Coast Conference as the Cardinal sets its sights on its second voyage in the nation’s top women’s lacrosse conference. All of Stanford’s five preseason All-Americans were named All-ACC a season ago.
Stanford opens the 2026 campaign on Saturday, February 7 as the Cardinal takes on UC Davis on the road while the ACC campaign begins on Saturday, February 14 at Clemson. Stanford begins the home slate on February 20 when it hosts Syracuse with opening draw from Cagan Stadium against the Orange slated for 5:30 p.m.
