STANFORD, Calif. – No. 11 Stanford suffered a 7-0 loss to No. 17 UCLA on Saturday evening.
In doubles, Caroline Driscoll and Monika Ekstrand turned a 5-1 deficit into 6-6 but were unable to finish as UCLA picked up wins at Nos. 2 and 3. The Bruin pair of Kayla Chung and Mayu Crossley won five straight games to clinch it 6-4 at No. 3.
UCLA clinched it at No. 6 singles, with Olivia Center beating Emma Sun 7-5, 6-2. The remaining courts played out, and all went three sets.
The result was Stanford’s first 7-0 defeat since April 9, 2021 at UCLA.
