STANFORD, Calif. — Following a strong, season-opening win last weekend, juniors Aliya Polisky and Ava Arceri have earned a nod on the initial 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, the Tewaaraton Award Foundation announced on Tuesday. The duo joins the list that recognizes the top 50 players in the sport.
Polisky enters her junior campaign after a stellar outing in 2025 where she broke Stanford’s single season records in goals (65) and shots (150). Polisky, who earned three separate All-American nods in 2025, is back on the watch list having been named to the initial 50 a season ago after her freshman season on The Farm. Polisky most recently earned USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Second Team honors and was listed as the No. 10 player in the ILWomen.com Top 50 Players of 2026.
Arceri was tabbed to the watch list for the first time having been named a USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse All-American in 2025. Arceri had a career season in 2025, earning 56 goals which slotted her tied for fourth all-time in a single season in program history. Arceri also featured as one of Stanford’s best draw takers, earning 51 on the campaign as part of a quartet of Cardinal that earned 50+ draw controls on the season. Arceri also earned preseason honors by being named a USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Honorable Mention and was ranked as the No. 32 player in the ILWomen.com Top 50 Players.
Stanford is back in action this weekend, hitting the road to begin its Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) slate on Saturday against No. 9/8 Clemson. Opening draw from the Clemson Lacrosse Complex for Saturday’s contest is slated for noon ET / 9 a.m. PT.
