ACC Championships Begin Sunday

Card looking for first conference title since 2017

  • The 2026 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships begin on Sunday, Feb. 15, and conclude on Saturday. Feb. 21.
  • Georgia Tech is the host of this year’s ACC Swimming and Diving Championships. All events take place at the McAuley Aquatic Center, home of the Georgia Tech swimming and diving programs, and each day will be televised on ACCNX.
  • Diving events take place on Feb. 15-17, while the swimmers will be in the pool from Feb. 17-21.
  • 5 Stanford men’s swimming is the highest-ranked team in the ACC heading into the conference championships. In the February CSCAA Top-25, Stanford earned its highest ranking of the season, overtaking No. 6 California for the top spot in the ACC. Other ACC teams in the Top-25 are No. 8 NC State, No. 10 Louisville, No. 13 Florida State, No. 21 Virginia Tech, No. 22 North Carolina, and No. 25 Virginia.
  • In Stanford’s first trip to the ACC Championships, the Cardinal finished second to California. Stanford has not won a conference championship since 2017 (Pac-12).
  • Three individuals were crowned conference champions in 2025: Jack Ryan (1-meter), Andrei Minakov (100 and 200 fly), and Henry McFadden (200 free). Only McFadden returns this season.
  • Stanford last competed on Jan. 30 against California in dual action, with Stanford winning on its Senior Day 181-119.
  • All but three events against the Golden Bears were won by the Cardinal. All told, Stanford won 13 events.
  • A school record was set the last time Stanford was in the pool. Daniel Li broke Ron Polonsky’s record in the 200 breast with a time of 1:50.79, helping him win the final ACC Swimmer of the Week honors.
