SAN ANTONIO - Stanford produced a runner-up finish at the Incarnate Word Invitational over the weekend, closing out its second competition of the season.
Yara Elian, who was named MPSF Artistic Swimmer of the Meet after capturing two event titles during the Cardinal’s opener at the OSU Invitational, placed second in the Tech A competition with 79.7843 points.
Stanford was represented with third-place (Megumi Field, Dalia Ovadia with 94.3833 points) and fourth-place (Audrey Kwon, Calista Liu with 94.5542 points) finishers in the duet routine.
Field, Ovadia and Karen Xue took fourth in the trio with 167.966 points while Elian, Kwon and Lui were fifth overall with 149.432 points.
The Cardinal resumes its season Feb. 14-15, hosting the MPSF Championship at Avery Aquatic Center. Stanford will be attempting to win its fifth straight conference crown. Since the MPSF began sponsoring artistic swimming in 2022, the Cardinal has been the only conference champion.
