STANFORD, Calif. — Following a clinical 3-0 week and a multitude of individual dominance, Stanford’s Rylee Bouvier and Aliya Polisky were named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s (ACC) Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. Both players nab the honor for the first time this season.
Bouvier earns the honor for the first time in her collegiate career as the senior has been clinical on both ends of the field this season, earning six goals and two assists on her account as well as being a force on Sanford’s top-10 defense. Bouvier tallied three points during the week, earning an assist in the 18-6 win over Vanderbilt last Monday before scoring twice in the 18-4 win over USC on Sunday.
Defensively Bouvier nabbed nine of her 10 total caused turnovers in the three-game swing, earning four in the wins over Vanderbilt and USC while earning one in the win over No. 13 Syracuse. Overall, Bouvier also aided Stanford in forcing three clock violations including one against the Orange. She also grabbed six of her eight total draw controls on the campaign this past week. Leading the Cardinal in caused turnovers, Bouvier currently ranks just outside the top-10 in program history in caused turnovers with 50 on her account and just seven behind Katharine Barns (1997-2001) for 10th all-time.
Polisky continued her torrid scoring pace this season with 20 points across the three-game swing last week. Polisky tied her single-game high with seven goals in the win over Vanderbilt in her return to her home state before bookending the week with a career-high six assists in the win over USC on Sunday. Polisky currently leads the team in goals (16), assists (10), and points (26) through five games this season.
The Franklin, Tenn., native tallied seven points - all via goals - against the Commodores before leading the Cardinal in its win over No. 13 Syracuse with four points coming from a 2-2-4 line. Polisky then rattled off a nine-point outing against the Trojans, highlighted by her six assists which tied the record for the fourth-most in a single game by a player in Stanford’s history. Polisky, who earns her first conference Player of the Week nod since the 2024 season, currently ranks tied for sixth all-time in goals (134), seventh in shots (297) and ninth in points (179).
Stanford is back in action this week, heading to the East Coast for the second time this season with a pair of games starting with a match against Virginia on Sunday, February 28. Opening draw is slated for noon ET / 9 a.m. PT
