STANFORD, Calif. — On the heels of her first win of the 2025-26 season, Paula Martín Sampedro has been named the ACC Women’s Golfer of the Month.
It’s hard to envision a better start to the spring season for Martín Sampedro, who finished second in the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate before winning the Bruin Wave Invitational. In the spring season opener, she fired a 68-72-69-209 to earn runner-up status at seven strokes under par. To win in Valencia this week, she posted a line of 68-69-72-209, finishing seven strokes under par, matching her overall score from two weeks earlier.
The victory was the third in Martín Sampedro’s collegiate career, becoming the tenth Cardinal to do so. For the season, her scoring average sits at 69.87, and since the middle of October, she has not finished outside the top-five in any tournament.
Stanford is in action on Monday, March 2, at the annual Battle of the Bay match play event against San Jose State. This year’s duel takes place at Los Altos Golf & Country Club. Stanford is 2-1 all-time against the Spartans in the Battle of the Bay.
