Roberts and Robinson Earn Weekly ACC Honors

Anna Roberts claims third consecutive Gymnast of the Week title, while Sienna Robinson earns first Specialist of the Week recognition as Stanford improves to 3-0 in conference competition

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Anna Roberts and junior Sienna Robinson were recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) on Tuesday, earning the titles of ACC Gymnast and Specialist of the Week, respectively. This marks Roberts' third consecutive week receiving the Gymnast of the Week honor, while Robinson earned her first Specialist of the Week accolade of the season.

The Cardinal moved to 3-0 in conference action with its down-to-the-wire victory over No. 20 California Friday, besting the Golden Bears 196.975-196.825. Both Roberts and Robinson achieved new career bests during the competition and captured individual event titles.

Roberts clinched her third straight all-around title against California with a combined apparatus score of 39.575. She currently leads all ACC gymnasts in the all-around competition and ranks fourth nationally with an average score of 39.542. Her beam score of 9.950 during Stanford's win over California set a new career best and represents the highest mark on that apparatus by an ACC gymnast this season. She is the only all-around gymnast in the ACC to hold top-10 rankings on all four apparatuses.

Robinson has consistently excelled in each of Stanford’s meets this season, earning an event title (or a share) in each of the Cardinal's first four outings. For the second consecutive week, Robinson achieved a new career-best score on bars, securing the apparatus title with a score of 9.950 against California, which ties for the highest mark in the conference this season. She leads all conference gymnasts on beam with an average score of 9.906 and is the only specialist in the ACC to hold top-two rankings on two events (1st on Beam, T2nd on Bars).

Next, Stanford will compete in its fourth conference dual meet of the season, welcoming No. 33 Pittsburgh to Maples Pavilion Friday evening. The matchup between the Cardinal and Panthers is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start and will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra, featuring commentary from Casey Magnuson and Jenna Becerra.
