STANFORD, Calif. — With just days to go until the start of the 2026 season, Stanford lacrosse earned more preseason praise with three Cardinal being named ILWomen/Nike Lacrosse Preseason Media All-Americans, the organization announced Tuesday.
Stanford’s Aliya Polisky leads the Cardinal on the list with a First Team honor after a stellar second season on The Farm. Polisky, who broke the program’s single-season record for goals with 65 a season ago, was also named a USA Lacrosse Preseason Second Team All-American earlier this preseason and is also ranked as the No. 10 player in NCAA women’s DI lacrosse according to ILWomen.com. Polisky completed the All-American trifecta a season ago and was an All-ACC First Team selection in 2025 as she heads into the season with 118 career goals and 153 points in 38 games.
On the second team, Olivia Rose has received plenty of praise heading into her third season with the Cardinal as a staple of one of the nation’s top defensive corps. Rose was an All-ACC Third Team selection in 2025 and has been tabbed a USA Lacrosse Preseason Third Team All-American heading into 2026. With a career-high 31 caused turnovers and 50 ground balls in 2025, Rose heads into the 2026 season ranked as the No. 35 player in DI women’s lacrosse according to ILWomen.com.
Stanford’s final honoree to be named Preseason All-American is Ava Arceri as the junior attacker is listed as a Third Team honoree. Arceri enjoyed a career year for the Cardinal with a career high 56 goals. Arceri was a USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse DI All-American Honorable Mention a season ago and was named a USA Lacrosse Preseason Third Team All-American leading into the 2026 campaign. Ranked as the No. 32 player in the ILWomen.com Top 50 players for 2026, Arceri has recorded 60 career goals and 79 points in two seasons with Stanford.
