Pitcher of the Week Prystajko

Stanford sophomore struck out 24 in 9.2 no-hit innings of relief

STANFORD, Calif. – Zoe Prystajko picked up a pair of weekly accolades today, after a virtually untouchable performance in the Cardinal's three game series against Pitt last weekend. The sophomore was named Wilson/NFCA DI and ACC Pitcher of the Week after striking out 24 in 9.2 no-hit innings against the Panthers.

Prystajko effectively ended each games of the series early, entering in relief and earning two wins as well as a save in the three scoreless appearances.

In a three-inning appearance on Friday, Prystajko struck out the final seven batters of the game to earn the save. On Saturday, Prystajko one-upped herself with a nine-strikeout performance in 3.2 innings of work to earn the win.

In the Sunday finale, Prystajko maintained the form with another hitless three innings to close out the sweep. In her second victory of the weekend, the Huntington Beach native struck out eight Panthers. Prystajko didn't issue a single walk on the weekend.

Last season in 96.2 innings across 44 appearances, Prystajko struck out 74 batters. To start 2026, the sophomore has struck out 95 in her first 61.2 innings.

Prystajko is the first ACC Pitcher of the Week for Stanford, after Taryn Kern earned Player of the Week and Addyson Sheppard earned Freshman of the Week earlier this season.
