Outdoor Season Begins

Stanford heads to Berkeley for the Cal Invitational on March 20-21.

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford track & field season turns over to the outdoor schedule, as the Cardinal begins the new slate at the Cal Invitational on March 20-21.

A two-day event at Edwards Stadium, the competition begins with the men's & women's hammer throw on Friday before the remainder of the meet runs through Saturday. 

Stanford is coming off an indoor season that saw three Cardinal earn All-America honors. Alyssa Jones completed the high jump-long double at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, finishing as the national runner-up in the long jump and third in the high jump. 

Juliette Whittaker finished fourth in the indoor 800m at the NCAA Championships after previously winning the ACC title in the event, while Sophia Kennedy garnered second-team All-America honors with a 13th-place finish in the 5000 meters.
