STANFORD, Calif. – Three Stanford men’s basketball student-athletes have been announced as academic all-district selections from College Sports Communicators. Benny Gealer, Ryan Agarwal and AJ Rohosy earned the honor.
The program’s captain, Gealer earns his third consecutive honor from CSC, coming on the heels of his selection as ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Gealer has established himself as one of the top two-way players in the ACC, ranking second in 3-point percentage (41.6%), seventh in 3-pointers per game (2.6) and seventh in steals per game (1.6), to go with averages of 11.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Agarwal earns his second straight honor from CSC as the redshirt junior averaged 5.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game across 31 appearances, with 19 starts. Agarwal scored a career-best 20 points with five 3-pointers in the Cardinal’s win over then-No. 14/15 North Carolina.
Rohosy tallied his second all-district honor after earning first team Academic All-America honors a year ago at the Division III level with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. In his first season at Stanford, Rohosy put together averages of 7.6 points and a team-leading 5.5 rebounds per game, including 2.1 offensive rebounds per night which slotted inside the top-20 in the ACC.
