Dhalluin sends Card to MPSF final

BERKELEY, Calif. - Redshirt junior Juliette Dhalluin’s penalty shot in the golden goal period lifted No. 2 Stanford past No. 3 UCLA in the semifinals of the MPSF Championship, Saturday, at Spieker Aquatics Complex.

Stanford (13-1, 5-1 MPSF) is seeking its ninth MPSF title and fourth in the past five seasons after repeating in 2022-23 and winning again in 2025.

Dhalluin had a chance to win it for Stanford with less than two minutes remaining in regulation but missed high on a penalty attempt. She took the ball for the final shot in the golden goal period, finishing with a team-high four goals on the afternoon.

Christine Carpenter was dialed in in goal, racking up nine saves in goal.

It was a defensive battle in the opening quarter as the first goal was not scored until the 4:42 mark in the frame. Serena Browne started the scoring for the Cardinal, followed by a power-play goal from Jenna Flynn.

The Bruins got two back to even things up with 1:09 left in the first. Freshman Lucy Haaland-Ford then scored on consecutive possessions to give Stanford a two-point lead after one. She finished with a hat trick.

Stanford held a 6-5 advantage at the half. Flynn and Green scored in the third, but the Bruins took a 9-8 lead into the fourth quarter. Dhalluin scored twice in the final frame of regulation, but another Bruin goal sent the game in to overtime.

Neither team scored in the extra frames resulting in the golden goal period.

Stanford will take on No. 1 seed USC for the MPSF title on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on Overnght.
