CARY, N.C. – Sein Myoung clinched for the fourth time this season and No. 9 seed Stanford beat No. 17 seed Virginia Tech 4-2 in the second round of the ACC Championship on Wednesday afternoon.

With the victory, the Cardinal advances to Thursday’s third round where it will face No. 8 seed SMU at 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET.

On court five, Myoung was down a break in the first set before reeling off three straight games to win it 7-5. She was down 3-0 in the second before coming back to tie it 3-3 and eventually took it 6-4 with a backhanded winner down the line against Alston Myatt.
