Arrillaga Tennis Center Opens Friday

Women host Virginia Tech at 1:30 p.m. and men host Wake Forest at 5:30 p.m.

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men’s and women’s tennis will open the Arrillaga Tennis Center with a doubleheader on Friday, April 3.

The women will host Virginia Tech at 1:30 p.m. with the men to follow against No. 3 Wake Forest at 5:30 p.m. A ceremony dedicating the new facility and ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place between the two matches. Admission is free.

The two-year project includes 12 outdoor courts with a seating capacity of 1,005 and a spectator capacity of 1,500. The Arrillaga Tennis Center offers over 12,410 square feet of team space, including locker rooms and lounges for both programs, athletic training and recovery rooms, a Home of Champions that celebrates the immense success of Stanford tennis, a visitor’s locker room and a coaching suite.

The entire Arrillaga Tennis Center includes the 12 courts, seating and clubhouse to be dedicated on Friday and the covered courts across the street, Arrillaga Tennis Center – Taube Pavilion.

The No. 36 women will wrap up its weekend on Sunday at 3 p.m. against No. 9 Virginia with a Senior Day ceremony post-match for Caroline Driscoll and Emma Sun. The No. 25 men will do the same, hosting No. 23 NC State at noon Sunday and recognizing Samir Banerjee and Alex Chang.
