LEXINGTON, Ky. — The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honored three members of the Stanford program Thursday, naming three student-athletes to its All-America Teams.
Stanford's No. 1 pair of sophomore Avery Jackson and senior Kelly Belardi were named to the All-America First Team, while junior No. 2 pair member Ruby Sorra was named to the All-America Second Team. Sorra earned her third All-America recognition, as she was a second-team honoree in 2024 and a first-team selection in 2025. Jackson collected her second All-America honor after being named to the second team in 2025, while Belardi received her first All-America selection.
Jackson and Belardi have been paired for 24 of the Cardinal’s 40 matches this season, with a 17-7 mark across courts one and two. As individuals, Belardi and Jackson have secured 26 wins throughout the 2026 season, with Belardi’s victories making her the program’s leader in career wins with 113.
On court two, Sorra has posted 24 wins this season, including a 15-7 mark with junior partner Brooke Rockwell. She currently sits with 75 wins in her three-year Cardinal career, tied for the eighth most by an individual in Stanford history. She is just the second student-athlete in program history to earn All-America honors in her first three seasons (Xolani Hodel, second team: 2022-23; first team: 2021, 2024).
The three members of the Cardinal’s top duos have led the No. 1 squad in the nation to a program single-season record of 36 victories, 25 coming over top-20 ranked teams, and a consistent top-two ranking by the AVCA every week this season.
Additionally, on April 16, Jackson was named a semifinalist for the AVCA Beach Volleyball Player of the Year award.
Stanford enters the 2026 NCAA Championship as the No. 1 seed and will take on No. 16 seed Chattanooga in the first round of the tournament Friday, May 1, at 9 a.m. PT (11 a.m. CT) in Gulf Shores, Ala. The matchup between the Mocs and Cardinal will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
