Indigo Clarke and Clara Stowell Named AVCA/CBVB and MPSF Pair of the Week

Duo wins the Cardinal's second consecutive national and conference pair of the week honors

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford beach volleyball’s No. 4 pair, sophomore Indigo Clarke and junior Clara Stowell, have been named American Volleyball Coaches Association/College Beach Volleyball (AVCA/CBVB) National Pair of the Week and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Pair of the Week, the associations announced Tuesday afternoon.

Clarke and Stowell are Stanford’s second consecutive AVCA/CBVB and MPSF Pair of the Week selections in 2026.

Stowell and Clark have been on a tear this season, posting 22 victories in 26 matches played together. Throughout the week of March 30- April 6, the duo was 5-0 with four of those victories coming against top-10-ranked opponents. Three of the pair’s top-10 wins came in straight-set victories, besting pairs from No. 10 LBSU, No. 4 USC, and No. 6 Cal Poly.  The pair also clinched Stanford’s win over No. 2 UCLA,  rebounding from a first-set fall to storm back to a 21-18 second-set win and third-set decisive victory, 15-9.

Stanford makes its final regular-season road trip April 10-11 for the 2026 Center of Effort Challenge in San Luis Obispo, California. The Cardinal is scheduled to face No. 4 USC, No. 7 TCU and No. 8 LMU during the two-day event. After the three matches, the competing teams (eight total) will be ranked and play in 1st/3rd/5th/7th place matches to close out the two-day event.
