STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford was well represented with seven USA Artistic Swimming All-Americans, making it five of the last six seasons in which the Cardinal has produced at least seven honorees.
Ivy Davis, Yara Elian, Megumi Field, Audrey Kwon, Calista Liu, Dalia Ovadia and Karen Xue were all honored among the organization’s 14-member team.
Additionally, Field was one of three athletes named to the USA Artistic Swimming All-Collegiate Team.
Elian leads the pack as a four-time All-American (2023-26) while Davis is a three-time All-American (2023-24, 2026).
Field, Kwon, Liu and Ovadia were each honored for the second time while Xue achieved the distinction in her first season.
The Cardinal produced a pair of individual national champions at the U.S. Collegiate National Championships. Elian, Kwon and Liu teamed to win the trio event crown while Miko Begossi, Davis, Elian, Field, Kwon, Liu, Ovadia and Xue captured the team event title.
Stanford claimed the USA Artistic Swimming Collegiate National Championship title to repeat as national champions for the first time since a four-peat stretch from 2005-08. The Cardinal has produced 11 national team titles in school history, having also won it all in 2021, 2016, 2013, 1999 and 1998.
Artistic Swimming is one of seven programs on The Farm to have won at least 10 national championships, joining women’s tennis (21), men’s tennis (18), men’s water polo (12), women’s swimming and diving (12), men’s gymnastics (11) and women’s water polo (10).
This year’s victory was especially memorable, as the Cardinal prevailed in its home pool at Avery Aquatic Center. It’s the fifth time Stanford has won the national championship while hosting, having also accomplished the feat in 2021, 2013, 2006 and 1999.
