ORLANDO, Fla. – Taking the court for the chance to qualify for the main draw of the US open, Alex Chang and Alex Razeghi have been selected to the American Collegiate Player Wild Card Playoffs, as announced by the USTA. Stanford’s duo will compete at the USTA National Campus’ Collegiate Center from June 17-18.
The semifinals will be held on Wednesday, June 17 and the finals on Thursday, June 18. All singles and doubles matches will be played with a best-of-three-set format featuring regular scoring, with a 10-point tiebreak at 6-all in the third set. In addition to Stanford’s duo, Ohio State, Northwestern and Indiana are also represented in the event.
Razeghi and Chang were selected to the All-ACC second team as a duo and ended the season ranked No. 24 after earning a season-high mark of No. 6. The pair was the ACC Doubles Team of the Week on Feb. 19 and to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships All-Tournament Team at No. 1 doubles on Feb. 20. The pair went 18-11 on the season, including four ranked wins, and it reached the round of 16 at the NCAA Doubles Championships.
Six wild card entries into the 2026 US Open (four singles, two doubles) will be awarded via the second-year playoff event. The winners of the four-player men’s and women’s singles playoff and four-team men’s and women’s doubles playoff will earn US Open main draw singles and doubles wild cards, respectively, while the men’s and women’s singles finalists will earn US Open Qualifying wild cards.
