STANFORD, Calif. — Following a historic career on The Farm, Stanford lacrosse’s Annabel Frist has been acquired by the Boston Guard of the Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL). Frist becomes the first Cardinal to be selected to join the league in program history.

Frist ended her Stanford career in record fashion as the fifth-year made her return to action this season after missing 27 games across the 2024-25 campaigns. Tallying 28 goals and eight assists, Frist ends her career with 153 goals and 48 assists across 70 games played as she became the fourth Cardinal to accrue 200+ points this season with two goals in Stanford’s first-ever NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal matchup. Her 153 goals also ranks fourth all-time in program history while also remaining as the last Cardinal to tie the program record for goals in a game with eight against UAlbany on March 12, 2023.
Known for her defensive and draw circle prowess, Frist garnered a career-high 22 caused turnovers this past season, ending her career with 70 as she ranks seventh all-time in that category. On the draw, Frist’s is the all-time record holder in the category with 393 which ranked 24th among current lacrosse players and eighth in DI. Frist also owns the top two single-season records and the second-most draw controls in a game in program history.
A native of Nashville, Tenn., Frist is a three-time USA Lacrosse All-American, two-time ILWomen All-America honoree and made her first appearance on the IWLCA All-America list on the third team this season. She is also a two-time IWLCA All-West/Midwest honoree and was named All-Conference four times in her career (3x Pac-12, 1x ACC) along with being placed on the Tewaaraton Watch List in 2025.
Boston (0-1) is in WLL action on Saturday, June 6 as the Guard takes on the California Palms from American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. Opening draw is slated for 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET with coverage available on ESPN+ and the ESPN App.
