Duo Named All-West Region

Duo become first All-Region Cardinal since 2024

STANFORD, Calif. — For the first time in their collegiate career’s, Stanford men’s golfers Dean Greyserman and Jay Leng have been tabbed as PING All-West Region Team members, the Golf Coaches Association of American announced on Saturday. Stanford’s two honorees matches its total from two seasons ago as the duo become the first Cardinal since 2024 to be named All-Region. 

Greyserman is enjoying his best season on The Farm in 2025-26 as the senior grabbed his first collegiate win with co-medalist honors at The Western in April, firing off a tied-tournament record 62 in the third round to snatch a share of the individual title. Greyserman has also been in the lineup for all three of Stanford’s stroke play wins this season including wins at The Goodwin and at the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships where the Cardinal placed first in stroke play before falling in the Championship Match to Virginia. Greyserman has posted his five career top-10 placements this season and owns a 4-1 record in match play. The Boca Raton, Fla., native has also posted a career-best 71.59 stroke average while grabbing 15 rounds at par or better and eight rounds in the 60’s entering the NCAA Finals.

Leng is also having a career season to date as the sophomore has racked up a team-leading 70.66 scoring average through 32 rounds this season. Leng has been in the lineup for all three of Stanford’s stroke play wins this season while posting his collegiate-best finish at The Goodwin where he tied for third overall. Leng helped Stanford secure a top finish at the ACC Championships where he placed seventh overall before adding a match play victory in the quarterfinals over Duke. A native of San Diego, Calif., Leng has placed inside the top 20 seven times this season including in four-straight tournaments. Leng has produced 19 rounds at par or better including nine rounds in the 60’s leading into the NCAA Finals.
