29 Lauded As CRCA Scholar-Athletes

STANFORD, Calif. – The Collegiate Rowing Coaches of America (CRCA) announced 29 members of the Stanford women's rowing and lightweight rowing teams have been named 2026 CRCA Scholar-Athletes, excelling both on the water and in the classroom.

In order to qualify for the award, athletes needed to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, be of at least sophomore standing academically, and row in an NCAA or IRA boat for a minimum of 75 percent of the season's races or must have competed in an NCAA or IRA boat at their conference or national championship. 

Stanford's 2026 season continued the legacy of excellence built by the Cardinal over the past decade, winning its fifth consecutive conference title and second straight Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) team crown while posting a sixth straight top-two finish at the national championships. The Cardinal dominated the ACC end-of-year awards as the varsity eight won its second consecutive Crew of the Year honor and Farwell Family Director of Women’s Rowing Derek Byrnes was named conference coach of the year for the fifth consecutive season.
