UP NEXT » Stanford opens the 2026-27 campaign this weekend in Seattle, with the PCCSC Singlehanded Championship.

REIGNING CHAMPS » Last season marked the fourth-straight year with the Cardinal claiming multiple ICSA National Championships. The team took home a Women's Fleet Race crown for the fourth-striaght season, and a Women's Team Race title for the third-striaght season. Stanford now boasts 10 national championships in program history, with nine coming since head coach Chris Klevan took over ahead of the 2021-22 season.

SINGLEHANDED REFRESHER » The Card had a strong showing at last season's PCCSC Singlehanded competitions, with Avery Baldwin winning the women's competition while Thomas Sitzmann took second in the men's competition.

RETURNING ALL-AMERICANS » Stanford had 10 athletes earn ICSA All-America selections last season, and seven of them are back for 2026-27. Reade Decker, Sitzmann, Kit Harned and Alice Schmid all return for their senior seasons, boasting a combined nine All-America nods in their careers.

We've only been at this new season with this new team for a couple of days yet it seems to me we’re quickly becoming a team. I think that feeling comes from the leadership, enthusiasm and work ethic demonstrated during preseason. If we can keep that up, as we add travel to the mix, I'm excited to see how we progress throughout the season. It's never easy losing a graduating class with so much experience and success, but it presents a great opportunity for this next generation to grow.
