Crowded Leaderboard Featuring Trio of Card

Stanford holds the top three spots on the leaderboard

STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford women’s golf padded its lead during the second round of the 2026 Stanford Intercollegiate, hosted by Dr. Condoleezza Rice. Scores were low once again for many in the lineup, with the Cardinal holding the top three spots on the leaderboard heading into Sunday’s final round.

While Stanford’s second-round score of 273 (-11) was not as good as its 271 on Friday, the Cardinal got further separation atop the team leaderboard. Virginia remains in second but now trails Stanford by 12 strokes after Stanford gained seven on the Hoos today. USC remains in third, but trails Stanford by 24 strokes.

The biggest movement for Stanford came on the individual side, with three Cardinal in the top three and five in the top 11. The battle between Meja Örtengren, Andrea Revuelta, and Anna Song is fierce, and all three have a strong case to be made to win the tournament.

It’s Örtengren who has the clubhouse lead heading into Sunday, and she broke free from the others with a 65 (-6) on Saturday. If it’s possible to shoot a “quiet” 65, that’s what Örtengren had, perhaps because Stanford fans are so used to seeing her atop a leaderboard. She piled up four birdies on the front nine and added three more on the back, including two of her final three holes, to pull ahead of Revuelta by one stroke. Örtengren has never won at Stanford Golf Course but has won at least one tournament in both of her collegiate seasons to date.

With Örtengren separating into the top spot, that puts Revuelta in outright second, after shooting a 68 (-3). Her round was clean, with three birdies and zero bogeys, the second clean round of the weekend by a Cardinal. There was no part of the round where Revuelta was particularly dominant, never recording birdies on consecutive holes, but two of her birdies came on par 5s (holes 7 and 16). Unlike Örtengren, Revuelta has won on Stanford’s course, winning the NCAA Regional played at Stanford Golf Course in the spring. She owns four career wins to Örtengren’s two, and a win tomorrow would move her into sixth all-time in wins at Stanford.

Song put herself in contention for her first collegiate win with her best round as a Cardinal, finishing before Örtengren as the first Stanford golfer on the day with a 65 (-6). Song was getting hot in bunches, recording birdies consecutively on holes 7 and 8 and then again on 12 and 13, adding another on 15 two holes later. Her seven birdies are the most she’s had in a round, and had it not been for a bogey on 14, it would have been a clean round. She moved six spots up the leaderboard into a tie with Jaclyn LaHa of Virginia at 8-under through two rounds, trailing her teammates by one and two strokes, respectively.

Three other Stanford golfers, competing individually, were under par on Saturday. Nora Sundberg holds seventh on the leaderboard at 4-under thanks to a 68 (-3), her best round of the season. She did her damage just before the turn, racking up three straight birdies on holes 7-9. Jude Lee moved up 26 spots, the most of any Cardinal, with a 69 (-2) on Saturday. She birdied five times and had an eagle on the par-5 seventh hole, one of two Stanford eagles on Saturday. Leigh Chien was the other Cardinal under par with a 70 (-1), thanks to three birdies and just one hole over par.

The final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, with a shotgun start. Following play, trophies will be awarded, and a presentation will be made in honor of PlayForHer, recognizing this year’s honoree, Christine Romer.
