  • The final fall tournament of the season for Stanford women’s golf begins on Monday as the Cardinal take part in the Nanea Invitational.
  • The three-day tournament runs Oct. 26-28 at Nanea Golf Club in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
  • The 14-team field features five ranked teams in the most recent Clippd rankings: No. 5 Stanford, No. 11 Texas, No. 14 UCLA, No. 15 Arizona State, and No. 16 Texas A&M.
  • Stanford has enjoyed significant recent success at Nanea Golf Club. The Cardinal has won the last two Nanea Invitationals, and the last two individual medalists have also been Cardinal.
  • Last year, the Cardinal was 11 strokes off the lead after 18 holes but won the tournament by 19 strokes. Stanford tied a program record by shooting 23-under as a team in the final round, ending the tournament 44-under, the third-lowest score in relation to par in Stanford history.
  • Meja Örtengren finished with a share of the lead in incredible fashion after opening the final round seven strokes off the lead. She shot a 7-under 66 in the third round to vault herself up the leaderboard and earn her second collegiate win.
  • The junior from Sweden won for the third time as a Cardinal last weekend at the Stanford Intercollegiate. She was in the 60s during all three rounds, finishing with a 199 (-14) over 54 holes, the second-lowest score by a woman at Stanford Golf Course.
  • Stanford won the Stanford Intercollegiate by 19 strokes over Virginia, the team’s second win of the season and the 70th tournament win in the head coaching career of Anne Walker.
  • After dropping a match play event to San Jose State on March 2, Stanford did not suffer a loss the rest of the 2025-26 season. The Cardinal won the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate, ACC Championship, NCAA Stanford Regional, and both the stroke play and match play portions of the NCAA Championship.
  • Stanford’s NCAA Championship was the program’s third in five years and its fourth overall. The Cardinal trails only Arizona State (8) and Duke (7) for the most in NCAA history.
  • Over the summer, both Paula Martín Sampedro and Andrea Revuelta moved into the top spot of the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Martín Sampedro took over first in the rankings on Aug. 26 before Revuelta overtook her on Sept. 2. They currently sit as the second and third-ranked world amateurs entering this tournament.
  • Heading into the season, three Cardinal were named Preseason All-Americans: Martín Sampedro, Örtengren, and Revuelta. All three are also on the ANNIKA Award Preseason Watchlist.
  • The Cardinal will send all nine golfers out this week at Nanea Golf Club. The team’s lineup is: Meja Örtengren, Andrea Revuelta, Anna Song, Nora Sundberg, and Paula Martín Sampedro. Kaila Elsayegh, Jude Lee, Leigh Chien, and Nikki Oh are competing as individuals.
