Shea Cours Season 2014-15

The Cours File
• Majoring in psychology
• Spent four years in high school doing community service with Interact, a high school division of the international service organization Rotary
• Volunteered with the Brick by Brick Education Fund, providing discounted school supplies kits
• Plays the piano
• Sister, Alex, was on the four-time national champion Stanford lightweight rowing team from 2010-13

2016-17 (Junior)
• IRA Team National Champion
• IRA Varsity Eight National Champion
• Captured the Lightweight Eight title at the Head of the Charles
• Captured the Lightweight Eight title at the Knecht Cup
• Captured the Cal Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic
• IRA All-Academic selection
• Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-America selection
• Served as coxswain for the varsity eight for the entire season for the second straight year
• Coxed the varsity eight to a near perfect season
• Varsity eight defeated Princeton in a rare in-season dual race, while also capturing several regattas

2015-16 (Sophomore)
• IRA Team National Champion
• IRA Varsity Eight National Champion
• Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-America selection
• Served as coxswain for the varsity eight the entire season
• Varsity eight completed a perfect season, capturing every regatta

2014-15 (Freshman)
• IRA Team National Champion
• IRA Varsity Four National Champion
• Coxswain of the second varsity eight and novice eight
• Tallied nine victories in her first year
• Led the varstiy four to its first IRA national title in program history, winning the Grand Final with a time of 7:20.404
• Finished fourth in the 4+ and fifth in the 8+ at the PCRC
• Led the team to four victories and two titles in the 2V8 and novice eight at the WIRA Championships
• Won the petite final at the Lightweight Invite in Boston
• Defeated the No. 2 Cal 4V8 in the Big Row
• Finished second behind Boston University in a dual on the Charles River
• Guided the 2V8 to a heat victory and second place finish overall in the open event at the San Diego Crew Classic
• Made her college debut as the coxswain for the varsity eight at the 50th Head of the Charles, placing eighth overall and fifth among colleges
• Second place in the novice 8+ and sixth in the collegiate 4+ at the Head of the Lagoon
