2008-09 Season (Senior): Stanford's only senior and one of four team co-captains ... moved up from 174 pounds to be Stanford's starting 197-pounder ... one of two NCAA qualifiers for the Cardinal, earning one of the 52 at-large bids handed out by the NCAA ... went 2-2 at the championships, securing his first win over Boston University's John Hall in the opening round ... also upended his third ranked opponent of the season at the NCAA Championships, battling through three sudden victory periods, four tiebreakers and more than 11 minutes of wrestling to upset Iowa's No. 15 Chad Beatty ... finished third at the Pac-10 Championships, becoming the school's ninth four-time Pac-10 placer ... went 3-2 at the conference tournament, winning three straight consolation matches before falling to No. 7 Brandon Halsey in the true second-place match ... finished his final collegiate season with a 24-15 record ... posted a 10-9 mark in duals ... won 83 career matches, and became just the ninth wrestler in school history to reach 80 wins at the Pac-10 Championships ... finished his career as the ninth winningest wrestler in school history, with the fifth-most pins during his four years (25) ... led the team with 11 pins and finished second in the Pac-10 in the category ... 11 pins put him among the school's top-10 single-season leaders as well (9th) ... posted a 9-8 record against Pac-10 opponents ... one of four Stanford wrestlers to hit the 20-win mark on the year, nabbing his second career 20-win season against Jake Cranford of Arizona State at the Pac-10 Championships ... finished fourth on the team with 45 dual points ... won nine consecutive matches in November and December, the second-longest winning streak on the team ... first three losses came while wrestling as a heavyweight ... won five matches in the consolation bracket of the Oklahoma Open to nab third place ... also placed at the Reno Tournament of Champions for the first time in his career, going 4-1, pinning three opponents and upsetting two ranked wrestlers on his way to the 197-pound title match ... took second placed in the tournament after defeating the second and third ranked opponents of his career - No. 19 Pat Bradshaw of Edinboro and No. 14 Riley Orozco of Cal State Bakersfield ... pinned six opponents in eight matches in November and December ... six pins came in dual matches ... wrestled the toughest schedule on the team, with nine matches against ranked opponents ... went 3-6 against those opponents ... a second-team Pac-10 All-Academic selection.

2007-08 Season (Junior): Stanford's starting 174-pounder ... qualified for the NCAA Championships for the second straight year ... won his first career NCAA Championship match with a major decision in the opening round ... went 3-1 at the Pac-10 Championships to take third place ... posted a pin and a major decision at the conference tournament to earn key bonus points for the Cardinal ... sat out the early part of the season, but made his season debut at the Las Vegas Invitational ... finished the year with a 17-12 record ... went 10-5 in duals, and won seven of nine conference dual matches ... contributed 38 team points to the Stanford effort ... pinned opponents in duals against Wagner and Cal State Fullerton ... also recorded two major decisions and two wins by technical fall on the year ... recorded 50th career win in the dual against Menlo College ... tallied two wins at the Reno Tournament of Champions ... competed at University Nationals in April ... a second-team Pac-10 All-Academic selection.

2006-07 Season (Sophomore): Placed fourth in the Pac-10 and earned one of the conference's nine wildcard spots at the NCAA Championships ... earned 25 wins at 174 pounds, including nine dual wins ... posted a 6-3 record in Pac-10 duals ... pinned seven opponents, won four bouts by technical fall and five by major decision ... pinned five opponents in seven matches in mid-November ... went on a season-best seven match win streak in mid-November ... placed third at the Bison Open with a 4-1 record ... faced nine ranked opponents ... upset No. 11 Matt Palmer of Columbia with a 6-5 decision at the Stanford Duals ... third on the team with 41 dual points ... earned the Tod Surmon Award for performance against Columbia ... a Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention selection ... an NWCA Academic All-American.

2005-06 Season (Freshman): Posted 17 wins, seven in duals, while starting for the Cardinal at 174 pounds ... started the season recording three victories at the Central Missouri Open ... won his first dual bout with an 8-0 decision ... took fifth place at the Pac-10 Championships ... tied for second on the team in pins ... competed at University Nationals in April, picking up four wins, including a decision over the 2005 Pac-10 Champion at 165 pounds, Patrick Pitsch of Arizona State ... also wrestled at the senior national qualifier tournament.

2004-05 Season (Redshirt): Picked up two wins at the California Open in November ... posted two victories in the main draw at University Nationals in April.

High School: A three-time state champion and four-time state finalist ... only loss in the state championships was as a sophomore to his brother ... the 2003 Northern Idaho Male Athlete and Wrestler of the Year ... also an all-state football defensive end ... coached by Mike Randles at Sandpoint High School.

Personal: Majoring in civil and environmental engineering ... enjoys video games, comic books and movies ... interested in a career in project/construction management and structural engineering.
