Men's Golf in Second Place After First Day of Anteater Invitational

Coto de Caza, Calif. - Freshman golfer Ron Won leads the Cardinal tied for second after the first day of the Anteater Invitational, hosted by UC Irvine. Won is one over par with a two-round total of 145. Stanford, the defending Anteater champions from 1999, is currently in second place with a total of 594 Washington is in first place, only two strokes ahead of the Cardinal.

Freshman Jim Seki is tied for 18th place with a total of 150, and junior Alex Aragon is tied for 27th with a total of 151. Freshman George Downing is tied for 53rd place with a stroke total of 154, and sophomore Philip Rowe is tied for 64th place with a total of 155.

The third and final round of the Anteater Invitational will be played Tuesday, March 28. The Invitational is being held at Coto de Caza Country Club, which is a par-72 course.
