The Stanford women's golf team finished sixth today at the 2000 NCAA West Regional Championships held on the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz. The Cardinal finished the 58-hole tournament with score of 889 (297-297-299), which qualified them for the 2000 NCAA tournament.
Senior JaeJean Ro had a strong final day of play, shooting a 72 for a total 223 which placed her tied for 21st place. Junior Stephanie Keever also finished in 21st place after a final round 73.
Junior Hilary Homeyer had her second consecutive round of 75 (224) for a 26th place finish. Freshman Kim Rowton fell to 34th place with her final round 79 (225) and junior Salimah Mussani concluded the tournament in 65th place with a 230.
The Cardinal wrap up their season in two weeks when the team heads to the NCAA Championships, being held May 24-27 at the Crosswater Golf Course in Sunriver, Ore.
