Stanford women's water polo driver Margie Dingeldein was named a First Team All-America by the American Water Polo Coaches Association. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jackie Frank was tabbed Second Team All-America. Junior Kris Koblik and freshman Julie Gardner were awarded Third Team accolades, and juniors Kelly Shouey and Anne-Marie Keenan earned Honorable Mention honors.
Sophomore driver Margie Dingeldein earned First-Team All-America accolades after turning in a solid performance at the National Championships, where Stanford finished third. Dingeldein led the Cardinal in scoring, with 59 on the season. She scored a team-high nine goals at the National Championships. At the MPSF Conference Championships, she scored 10 goals, and was named First Team All-Conference for her efforts. Dingeldein scored in 25 of the team's 33 games, and has recorded multiple goals in 20 of them. She was named MPSF Player of the Week for the week of March 6 and was named tournament MVP at the Aloha Classic, where she scored seven goals to lead the team to a first-place tournament finish.
Freshman goalkeeper Jackie Frank earned Second Team All-America honors. She defended the net for the Cardinal in 27 games, and recorded a season goals-against average of 4.65. She held the opposition to 114 goals, less than half of the goals that Stanford scored. In the third place game at the National Championships, Frank made seven saves to help the Cardinal to an 8-5 win over Cal for a third place finish.
Junior two-meter defender/driver Kris Koblik and freshman two-meter set/driver Julie Gardner were awarded Third Team accolades. Koblik scored 24 goals on the season, and anchored a solid Cardinal defense which limited the opposition to less than half the goals scored by Stanford. Gardner was second on the team in scoring with 57, and was named the MPSF Player Of The Week for the week of March 20th after scoring two timely goals to lead Stanford to victory over No. 3 UCLA.
Junior two-meter set Kelly Shouey and two-meter defender/driver Anne-Marie Keenan earned Honorable Mention All-America Honors. Shouey scored 30 goals in the 2000 season, and Keenan scored 33.
