STANFORD, Calif. - Seventh-ranked University of Southern California hosts #4 Stanford this Sunday at the Port of Los Angeles.
After last week's solid races against Oregon State the Cardinal women are eager to take on the Women of Troy in what all anticipate will be very close races.
The last time Stanford and USC squared off was at the San Diego Crew Classic. In the varsity 8 race, Stanford and USC were within one second of one another through the first 1500 meters before Stanford out sprinted USC to take third. In the JV race, USC finished two seconds ahead of Stanford. In the novice race, the Trojan women were able to hold off a strong sprint from the Card to finish just two seconds ahead of Stanford.
With new line-ups in the JV 8, Varsity 4, and Novice 8 that reveal greater speed than seen before, Stanford is excited to take on this weekend's PAC-10 rival.
