Walnut Creek, Calif. - Stanford's Skip Kenney was named Pacific-10 2004-05 Coach of the Year, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Kenney led the Cardinal to their 24th consecutive Pacific-10 Championship. At the Conference Championships, he coached his swimmers to eight individual and three relay titles. Kenney coached Stanford to a second-place finish at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. The men's swimming Coach of the Year award is the 17th of Kenney's career.
The Swimmer, Newcomer and Coach of the Year honors are determined by a coaches vote.
