No. 3 Stanford to Play No. 10 San Jose State Tomorrow

April 21, 2005

Tomorrow, The No. 3 Stanford Cardinal (16-5, 8-3) will challenge the No. 10 San Jose State Spartans (10-15, 2-8) in Stanford's final home game. It will be Senior Night and the last home game of their collegiate careers for Cardinal seniors Hannah and Kelty Luber, who will graduate with the class of 2005 in June.

San Jose State is coming off a near-upset of Cal last weekend, where the Spartans lost 8-9 in overtime to the Bears. "San Jose State is a persistent, solid team. They play very good defense, have a strong goalie, and get the ball in the hands of their best shooters," said Head Coach John Tanner.

The Cardinal are returning to Avery Aquatic Center tomorrow following a 12-5 win over UC Davis last Sunday, Stanford's 16th win of the season. The Luber twins will be recognized before the match begins at 6:00 PM.

Stanford will then travel to Berkeley on Saturday to challenge the No. 7 Cal Bears in the 10th Big Splash of women's water polo at 7:00 PM.
