The No. 3 Cardinal (20-6) heads to Michigan for the NCAA Championships, held May 13-15 in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the University of Michigan's Canham Natatorium. The Cardinal emerge from a second-place showing at the MPSF Championships, held two weeks ago in Berkeley.

The 2005 NCAA Championships mark Stanford's fifth appearance in the last five NCAA Tournaments, more than any other MPSF team. Stanford will play their first-round game Friday at 1:30 pm (Eastern) against the University of Michigan. Should Stanford win, they will advance to play on Saturday against the winner of the USC vs. Redlands match-up.

"We have had one eye on NCAAs all season," commented Head Coach John Tanner, "and I am confident that our team is well-prepared and excited for this weekend."

A total of five (5) matches over the course of the weekend will be broadcast live on the internet via NCAAsports.com on the water polo page.
