No. 6 men's seed Conor Niland, California
On facing top-seeded Benjamin Kohlloeffel of UCLA in the quarters tomorrow: "He played really good tennis the two times I played him. I feel like he's such a good player that he forces you to bring you're a game. You're not going to get away with not being aggressive and I guess that helps me get into a mindset of being positive and going for my shots. It helps me and that's what I'm going to try and do tomorrow against him."
Unseeded KC Corkery, Stanford
On making it to the quarterfinals: "Freshman year i was in the round of 16 and I kind of had higher aspirations since my freshman year, but this is the first time I've made it past that round. I'm just out here playing. It was remarkable today. I didn't really feel any nerves until maybe just right at the end. I feel like I can play with these guys. Going into the NCAAs having had tough matches against top-ranked players, that's where I feel like I belong. On any given day, all the players out here are really good and anyone can beat anyone."
On being a senior: "I'm a senior and I get to play at home. This is awesome that I'm able to finish out my career here at Stanford. I have a lot of great memories and I like the courts, so it's nice."
Unseeded men's doubles pair Joey Atas and Jonathan Stokke, Duke
Stokke on their first two wins:
"My partner is absolutely obsessed with All-American, so he was really nervous, so I'm glad we won for him, and the team we played yesterday [Ohio State] is where he used to play. We didn't see it as an upset, which is maybe why we won. We were really confident that we were going to win and we're obviously really happy to be here, but now we want to see if we can win it."
Atas on beating the Ohio State team in the first round and Florida State in the second round:
"Yesterday was a big match because I was playing my old teammates and I was nervous about that, but it was a great match and everyone played well. Today was just amazing. I don't know if we started off tight or whatnot, because we didn't play that well to start with but we just started playing really well at the end."
On tomorrow's quarterfinal match:
"We feel really confident going into tomorrow because we've won two good matches. We beat the No. 1 seeds and then we beat a team just now [Florida State] that has beaten us twice this year."
