April 23, 2007

Stanford, Calif. - ESPN visited Stanford on Monday as the final week of 2007 spring football practice began with a workout Monday at the Elliot Practice Fields. An ESPN all-access camera crew spent the day behind the scenes with the Stanford Football program, sitting in on a full team meeting as well as gatherings of the coaching staff and quarterbacks, and checking out the Stanford Football locker room among its many activities during the day.

"We all love ESPN," smiled Harbaugh. "We were one of 10 teams across the entire country they chose to highlight during spring football. I think that's a thrill and honor to everyone on the team."

The cameras also rolled on Monday's practice while coach Harbaugh allowing the crew to put a microphone on him during the workout to give viewers an inside look at the coach's take on practice.

Monday's activities followed ESPN's interviews with coach Harbaugh as well as players Mark Bradford, Anthony Kimble, Wopamo Osaisai and Nick Sanchez conducted last Thursday.

The ESPN spot on Stanford is expected to air on SportsCenter sometime in May.

Monday's practice left the Cardinal with just four more workouts during the 2007 spring sessions that will conclude with the annual Stanford Football Spring Game at Stanford Stadium this Saturday, April 28 (4 pm, PT). Admission to the game is free for all fans.

"I told the team we would learn more about them and their character in these last five practices than we did in the first 10," commented Harbaugh. "There's still a lot of football to be played and learned; there's starting positions to be earned and back-up positions to be solidified."
