Stanford, Calif. - After the Pacific Coast elimination events, the Pacific Coast Conference named the top sailors from the district to it's all star team. Seniors Brian Haines and Emery Wager made the coed skipper list. Junior Evan Brown, sophomore Taylor Grimes, and senior Caroline Young were selected to the women's skippers list. And freshman Leigh Hammel, sophomore Kelly McKenna, and senior Joanna Madsen were chosen for the crew team. Additionally, Emery Wager was honored for his Sportsmanship. PCCSC team members's names will appear on a plaque at the US Sailing Center in Long Beach.

With such a talented pool of sailors, it is no surprise that Stanford was ranked ahead of the Pacific Coast competition in the Sailing World ranking of the ICSA (Inter-collegiate Sailing Association) Conferences. Both the Stanford Coed and Women's team came out on top. The Sailing World Ranking is determined by a panel of coaches within the conference in addition to the Sailing World's coaches' panel: Michael Callahan, Georgetown; Ken Legler, Tufts; and Mike Segerblom, USC.
