Stanford Travels South For Mt. SAC Relays

April 15, 2008

Meet Central

A group of Stanford track and field athletes will travel to Walnut, Calif. to compete in the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays this Fri.-Sat., April 18-20. The 50th running of Mt. SAC Relays will include some of the world's best athletes in what should be a very exciting meet.

The meet will be hosted at the historic Mount San Antonio College Track, site of two Olympic Trials and 13 world records.

The Cardinal competitors will be mostly in the field events, highlighted by Graeme Hoste in the men's pole vault invitational section on Sunday. Hoste, a three-time All-American, finished fourth at this year's Indoor NCAA Championships. He will be competing against an excellent field and looks for a big season best.

Other Stanford athletes scheduled to compete include Stanford school record holder in the javelin, Danielle Maier and All-Americans in the distances Neftalem Araia and Hari Mix.
