STANFORD, Calif. - Following a 15-8 victory over UC Davis that clinched third place at the 2008 National Collegiate Women's Water Polo Championship, the No. 2 Stanford Cardinal landed three players on the All-Tournament teams. Senior driver/two-meter Jacquelyn Gauthier scored five goals in Stanford's three contests and earned a spot on the All-Tournament First Team, while juniors Lauren Silver and Heather West were each named to the Second Team.
Gauthier and West earned the first All-Tournament Team selection of their careers, while for Silver, it marked the second time she has been named to the Second Team, with the first occasion coming after the 2006 tournament.
All three players scored five goals in this year's tournament, with West recording a hat trick in Sunday's third-place game victory.
