Live Scoring Tournament CentralSTANFORD, Calif.- NCAA women's tennis first round action is underway this afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium, one of 16 regional sites hosting action around the country.
Currently in progress, No. 4 Stanford aims for its 20th victory of the year against Boston University (11-7). Making its 27th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, the Cardinal owns a 104-12 all-time record in the postseason since the NCAA Tournament went to its present format in 1982.
Earlier this morning, No. 31 Texas A&M (17-8, 9-2 Big 12) cruised past No. 38 Washington (12-10, 6-8 Pac-10) by a 4-1 margin to advance to Saturday's second round.
After the Aggies secure the doubles point, the squads traded singles victories. Leading 2-1, Texas A&M received wins from Stephanie Davidson and Christi Liles to clinch the match.
