TEMPE, Ariz. - Stanford shot a third round team score of 288 to finish 10th at the PING/ASU Invitational held at the Karsten Course in Tempe, Ariz.
The Cardinal finished 20 strokes behind first place UCLA (856; -8), which edged out host Arizona State (857; -7) for the team title.
USC finished third at 858 (-6) while New Mexico (863; -1) and Purdue (864) rounded out the top five.
Freshman Sally Watson fired a final round 69 to finish in eighth place, five strokes behind medalist Stephanie Kono of UCLA (207; -9). Jennifer Song of USC finished one stroke off the pace at 208.
Freshman Kristina Wong tied for 29th with a 54-hole score of 219, closing with a one-under round of 71.
Junior Rebecca Durham tied for 38 at 222 after shooting a final round 74.
Senior Angela King tied for 46 at 224 while Sydney Burlison tied for 75th at 233.
Stanford will next be in action at the Pac-10 Championships, set for April 19-21 at the Eugene (Ore.) Country Club.
