Stanford, Calif. - Stanford will host the 117th running of the Big Meet, Saturday, April 16, with field events beginning at 11:50 p.m. and running events at 2:00 p.m. The annual scored dual meet between Stanford and California is sure to bring plenty of excitement to Cobb Track and Angell Field.

Admission to the event is free and for those unable to attend Flotrack will be broadcasting live. Flotrack's coverage will begin at 11:45 a.m. with their embedded video below. Their full coverage is available above.

The men's meet will be run for the 117th time with California leading the all-time series 66-48-2. Stanford has won the last four Big Meets, including last season by a score of 93.5-69.5. This season, the Cardinal men are ranked No. 8 in the nation, while Cal is ranked No. 30. Both teams have considerable talent that should make for an exciting race.

On the women's side, Stanford leads the all-time series, 20-11. Last season, Cal won an exciting meet that was tied going into the final event, the 4x400-meters. The Cal victory ended a run of nine consecutive Stanford wins. This year, the Cardinal is ranked No. 16 in the nation, while Cal is ranked No. 34.

Dual-meet scoring is five points for first, three for second and one for third. Relays are five points for the winning school and zero for the loser.
