TEMPE, Ariz. - Stanford's women's golf team shot a second round team score of 300 (+12) on Saturday and slipped back into seventh place after two rounds of the PING/ASU Invitational being contested on the Karsten Course in Tempe, Ariz.
The Cardinal were 10 shots higher than its opening rounds score of 290 on Friday and are at 590 (+14) heading into Sunday's final round.
UCLA and USC are tied for first place at 565 (-11), while Texas is eight strokes off the pace at 573 (-3). Arizona (576) and California (581) rounds out the top five.
Stephanie Kono of UCLA and Texas' Madison Pressel are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 139 (-5). Carlota Ciganda of Arizona State and Sophia Popov of USC are just one stroke back at 140 (-4).
Stanford's Sally Watson is tied for 16th place at 145 (+1) after the sophomore carded a second rounds score of 74 on Saturday. She had three bogies and just one birdie on her card.
Kristina Wong, who began the day tied for 10th place with Watson, slid down the leaderboard after a second round 76 left her tied for 23rd at 147 (+3). Wong opened her round with three straight bogies and did not collect her first birdie until the 10th hole.
Junior Lila Barton is tied for 31st at 148 (+4) after a second round 75.
Senior Rebecca Durham shot a second round 75 and is tied for 46th at 151 (+7).
The final round will tee off at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
