STANFORD, Calif.- The Stanford tennis teams will be in action later this weekend, representing their final appearance at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium before the postseason gets underway next month.

MEN'S TEAM

Riding a season-best nine-match winning streak, No. 8 Stanford (17-5, 4-1 Pac-10) hosts No. 14 California (12-6, 3-2 Pac-10) on Saturday, April 23, at 1 p.m. The Cardinal still has an outside shot of claiming a share of the conference title if UCLA can upset two-time defending champion USC on Friday afternoon.

The match will also serve as Senior Day for Alex Clayton, Greg Hirshman and Ted Kelly. The senior tribute will take place following the doubles competition but before singles play begins.

WOMEN'S TEAM

Back at the No. 1 spot in the latest edition of the ITA rankings, Stanford (23-0, 8-0 Pac-10) has already closed out its regular season and captured the conference title. The Cardinal remains the only unbeaten team in Division I.

So the Cardinal will take a break from dual match competition, and host the USTA Junior National Team in an exhibition match on Friday, April 22, at 1:30 p.m. Stanford will face off against some of the top juniors in the country during the contest, with a likely format of four doubles matches and eight singles matches.

Both teams will compete in the Pac-10 Championships, slated for Apr. 28-May 1 in Ojai, Calif.
