STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford men's rowing, ranked 11th in the latest USRowing Collegiate Poll, will go head-to-head with No. 2 California Saturday at The Big Row at Redwood Shores.
The Cardinal I Eight will get another shot against its opposite number from across the Bay Saturday at 11:15 a.m. In the previous meeting of the boats, the Cardinal finished just 2.75 seconds behind California in the Grand Final of the Copley Cup competition at the San Diego Crew Classic on April 3.
The men's II Eight race will get underway at 10:50 a.m. Stanford and California will meet up once again, as the boats finished 1-2 in favor of the Golden Bears in the Grand Final of the Sharp Cabrillo Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic four weeks ago.
The first matchup between the two schools on Saturday will take place at 10:30 a.m. as the Frosh Eights take to the water.
The trophy presentations and post-race ceremony will begin at 12 p.m.
Once again at this year's Big Row, Dan Gordon of Gordon Biersch Brewery will host the Big Row BBQ during and following the races.

From Highway 101 take the Marine Parkway/Ralston Avenue exit (head east)
At the first light turn right on to Twin Dolphin Drive.
At the first light turn left on to Lagoon and enter the parking lot.
