Hi y'all! I'm Michelle Prong coming to you this week from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where we will take on the University of Alabama in the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament Thursday and Friday of this week.

We are so excited to be playing at this level of competition and are looking forward to another great two days of Cardinal softball! Being at this stage in the season, especially for us freshmen, is an exhilarating feeling. And to know that there are only 16 teams left in the country is even more exciting. But the Card is ready to do whatever it takes to win this three-game series and move on to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City next week! We have come a long way to get to this point, so we want to continue to show what we can do and enjoy the process!

Last weekend, Cardinal softball posted three victories over Pacific, Fresno State, and Nebraska to take the Staford Regional championship. It was so awesome to win the double-elimination tournament in three games, which really boosted our team's confidence. All of our games were awesome team efforts all around with everyone chipping in something great for the wins. Stellar defensive plays and solid appearances in the pitching circle kept opponents' bats pretty quiet the whole weekend. One of the greatest team moments of the weekend was our three-run rally in the top of the seventh inning to beat Nebraska, showing just how great all of us can work together in pressure situations.

A congratulation is in order for our shortstop Ashley Hansen, who was named to the final three candidates for the national player of the year award. Great job to Ashley!!!

We are ready for some more great, thrilling softball this week and are excited for the opportunity to share it with all our fans! Tune in tomorrow on ESPN to watch as your Stanford softball team takes on the Crimson Tide at 7 p.m. CT! We appreciate all of our fans' support!

Thanks to all our fans, and go Stanford!
